Our Story

The founder of Grumpy Veteran Apparel served as a Navy Airframer, working on F/A-18 Super Hornets with VFA-213 (Black Lions) and VFA-154 (Black Knights) — two of the most storied fighter squadrons in Naval Aviation. He also served aboard the USS Ogden, putting in the kind of work that most people will never see and never fully understand.

After hanging up the uniform, he did what any self-respecting grumpy veteran would do — he started a brand that says what everyone else is thinking. No sugarcoating. No corporate polish. Just honest, bold, veteran humor on premium apparel and gear.
